Getting Productive & Creative With Twitter

I have been talking about the productivity we get from Twitter but do you know it in someway or the other it makes us creative also. Twitter is no wonder a social tool. Now here are some of my points with which I think Twitter makes us creative and productive.

1. Twitter has a character limit of 140, no wonder not everyone can fit their tweets in it. But still more than 100 million thoughts have been tweeted fitting in that 140 character limit. That of course has made some quick effect on the way we can think of shortening a sentence, that also many a times without using any lingo.

2. You follow, I follow and we share Mutual Thoughts, or sometimes not so mutual. Twitter has an archive of thoughts, links, pictures, videos send by many types of people – geeks, social-network fanatics, internet dumbass, internet kickass etc. Following different type of people on Twitter enables us to actually learn from them. My tweet speed is less but still I spend hours on TweetDeck reading tweets from the 600 people I follow. It get all news from tech to celeb controversies on Twitter.

3. Twitter is a place where you can follow and get followed by people of similar interest, or sometimes similar problem/trouble. ‘Your neighbor is a metalhead and listens music late night which disturbs your sleep?’ There maybe several people on Twitter with the same problem. Share a solution with respective hashtags and you’re a hero. Problems can be anything – computer related, hardware setup trouble, choosing a dinner spot, anything.

4. Twitter gives you an audience, your followers. There are many ways you can be creative and productive with your followers. You can use them for word-of-mouth or rather say ‘Word of Tweet’ advertising or help from your followers, there followers and vice versa. Retweeting is what is required. Looking for new office place? Get your tweets retweeted and spread knowledge about it over tweeples.

The Blogger Advantage: There is a Twitter advantage for bloggers. You blog about cars, tech, gadgets, softwares, pets, anything. Get yourself a powerful desktop Twitter client like TweetDeck or Seesmic and follow the discussions over the hashtags of your topic concern. All most every problogger is using Twitter as his major source of information.
